Oregon Wine Country

Welcome to the ultimate guide for Oregon wine country. With over 900 wineries and 20 wine growing regions, Oregon produces world-class Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and sparkling wines. Oregon’s climate is well-suited for growing Pinot Noir grapes, which are known for their delicate flavors and aromas.

Other varietals that are grown in Oregon include Chardonnay, Pinot Gris, Riesling, and Gewurztraminer. These wines tend to be dry and have high acidity, with flavors and aromas that are influenced by the region’s cool climate.

Oregon also has a number of sub-regions, each with its own unique character and terroir. The Willamette Valley, Rogue Valley and the Umpqua Valley are all important wine-producing regions in Oregon.

Whether it is your first time experiencing Oregon Wines or a regular at the wineries, this is your ultimate guide for winery visits, wine tours, dining experiences or buying Oregon wines for the holidays or any occasion.

A view that never disappoints. Resonance Winery.

About Us

Oregon WineS

While our love of wine began long before our first visit to Oregon Wine County way back in 2004 it was in Oregon (and the Willamette Valley specifically) where we truly discovered our love for wines. Since then, we visited wine destinations around the world including Napa, Sonoma, Walla Walla, Tuscany, Burgundy, and Bordeaux. Basically, we’ve been to alot of Oregon wineries!

At the end of a 1st grade parent teacher conference, our son’s teacher ended by saying “I heard you enjoy wine country”. And then she went on to explain that she asked the students to name their favorite country. And our son, yelled “wine country!”

Over the years, friends, family, and coworkers began asking for recommendations about Oregon wines. The best wines to try. Best wineries to visit. Places to stay. All the typical questions. Wine country has something for everyone and every group so we started customizing recommendations – from fun to funky to french style. You name it. And that was the genesis behind our website.
